Hurricane Helene Rebuilding Efforts

We are proud to officially launch the Manifest Eternity Program to support the long term recovery and rebuilding efforts of the WNC brewing community impacted by the widespread damage caused by Hurricane Helene. We will host a series of events and collaborations to raise awareness and funds for the NC Craft Brewers Foundation, a 501(c)3 to directly support the new organization’s focus on supporting WNC breweries directly impacted by Hurricane Helene.

The Manifest Eternity Program kicks off with a weekend of collaboration releases and a community focused Christmas Party. We hosted 5 collaboration beers with Asheville based breweries, Hi Wire Brewing, Cursus Keme, New Origin Brewing, Wedge Brewing Co. and Zillicoah Beer Co. as well as 4 breweries from around the country.

A portion of sales of each beer will go directly to support the local collaborators and their efforts to recover and rebuild. 4 of the 5 beers will be released on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, available on-draft and in cans/bottles to-go at all Burial Taprooms. On December 14, 2024 at 6 PM, our South Slope Taproom will host a Christmas Party and Tap Takeover to celebrate with the out-of-state brewers: Threes Brewing, Other Half Brewing, Monkish Brewing Co. and Trillium Brewing Company.

Collaborators will be present for the party as well for an Off Topic conversation on stage at Eulogy, our Music Venue. The Off Topic conversation kicks off at 4PM, does not require a ticket, will include samples of visiting breweries beers and is free to attend.

Through Subliminal Reminders of Hope

“We see the long road ahead and we want to continue to tell the story of Asheville and of our brewing community as individuals and businesses move from the recovery stage to the rebuilding stage.” Says Jess Reiser, Burial’s CEO and Co- Founder. “Manifest Eternity’s goal is to engage people and communities across the country for the next several years to keep much needed funds available through the NC Craft Brewers Foundation’s Hardship Grant Program. Access to this grant will provide breweries with on-going funding opportunities as the path to re-opening becomes closer to being a reality.”

In addition to the 4 collaboration brews being released the week of December 9, 2024, we released two collaborative blends currently available for sale in bottles.

The first release, For Memories We Made Together In Asheville: Volume 1 Blend of Barrel-Aged Imperial Stouts was made in collaboration with Creature Comforts Brewing, Edmund's Oast Brewing Co., Halfway Crooks Beer, Other Half Brewing and Pinthouse Brewing.

The second release, For Memories We Made in Asheville: Volume 2 Barrel-Aged Cuvée of Imperial Dark Ales was made in collaboration with Alvarado Street Brewing, Cellarmaker Brewing Co., Green Cheek Beer Company, Highland Park Brewery and Holy Mountain Brewing Company. All of the aforementioned breweries sent a keg of imperial stout or strong ale to create these one off blends. A portion of sales will be directly donated through the Manifest Eternity Program to the NC Craft Brewers Foundation, earmarked to support the rebuilding of the WNC brewing community.

“While this is just the beginning, we are seeing a network of craft breweries around the country come together to rally around our mountain communities. We see so much opportunity for future collaborations to continue to support the re-opening of breweries who lost their spaces in the storm.” - Doug Reiser, Burial’s CSO and Co-Founder.
