Description: Montepulciano grapes undergo whole cluster carbonic maceration in steel for 2 weeks before being pressed. Fermentation completes with native yeast to full dryness.
Located between Hopland and Ukiah on Mendocino’s Talmage Bench, Fox Hill rests on an uplifted former riverbed and possesses well drained soils with high concentrations of gravel, quartz, and sandstone. Our head winemaker, Evan Lewandowski, manages the vineyard in collaboration with Sam Bilbro of Idlewild and Chris Brockway of Broc Cellars. 25 Italian varietals are grown on its 60 acres.
Vinification: Whole cluster, carbonic maceration in steel. Pressed and fermented with native yeast to complete dryness. Unfiltered. Bottled in February, 2026.
Bottling: 750 ml Antique Green, corked. Contains sulfites
