A most grand finale. It rests in The Land of Eternity. A lager forged with Jester King Brewery.
_________
Our beautiful country, our land, provides many gifts. Much effort is required from us to reap them. For those of us that are not farmers or harvesters it’s far too easy to forget this, and take it for granted. Beer is an agricultural product and it has become standard for breweries to buy their malts and hops from third parties, often having little to no relationship with the passionate men and women behind the scenes.
_________
That lack of connectivity has always felt strange to us, especially with how reliant we are of these gifts. The #AmbientTerrain rustic lager series has given us the great opportunity to connect deeply with the people behind our malt, many of which are farmers themselves, and have a very hands-on approach to their craft.
_________
The greater philosophical path herein has become very important to us, and we hope others will follow. This is the culminating voyage to a most AmbientTerrain.
_________
Our final installment is a dark and rich lager, pronounced with notes of Texas, built from honey and pecan smoked malt. It is a resurrection of bold Bock styling, with a unique American twist. It’s ripe with candied nuts, warm tobacco, maple strawberry reduction and date infused Scotch. Big thanks to Jester King and Blacklands Malt for their hands in this killer project.
