At Burial, we pride ourselves on providing immersive experiences. We are grateful for everyone’s support during these unprecedented times. Our taproom’s outdoor areas are now open and we wanted to provide information on how we are keeping our staff and customers safe and comfortable while offering the Burial experience we all know and love. We are fortunate to have ample outdoor space. People who visit our taproom can expect the following safety standards for both staff and guests to abide by upon re-opening:
  • We host regular staff trainings and meetings to provide resources and updates on these fluid circumstances.
  • Limited capacity protocol will be enforced based on our site occupancy.
  • Additional port o johns will be available outside.
  • Outdoor seating only (come prepared for the weather to change).
  • The back bar/patio bar will be open.
  • A plexiglass guard has been installed at the back bar/patio bar.
  • The front bar and indoor taproom area closed except for an Emergency Exit path.
  • All indoor tables have been removed and that area will be not accessible by guests.
  • Masks and gloves to be worn by all employees at all times.
  • Buncombe County requires customers wear masks anytime you are not actively eating or drinking. Burial will provide disposable masks for people who did not bring one.
  • Drinking water will be available at the back bar, please ask your bartender for a cup of water.
  • As a reminder to guests who are waiting in line for beer at the back bar/patio bar, we have floor markings/cones and signage to help with social distancing
  • The outside and roof top tables have been spaced at least 6 feet apart to encourage social distancing.
  • If you are hungry, please order your food with your bartender. The kitchen will text guests when food is ready for pick up at the kitchen window.
  • All food will be served in disposable containers with disposable utensils.
  • Our staff will be regularly sanitizing all surfaces and upholding our sanitation standards.
  • Hand sanitizer stations are available on-site.
  • Count on Me Pledge – all bartenders took this pledge and course to remain fully informed of the situation, doing everything they can to maintain a safe environment
  • The Merch/To-Go area is located in the front of the building where customers can come and pick up beer and merchandise to go as well as cans to drink outside at our establishment
  • Employees will wash their hands before work and regularly during their shift.
  • Our staff will be disinfecting i-Pads used at checkout in between use and maintaining a touch less checkout process.
  • We will not be able to start tabs and will not be accepting cash.
  • We will not be offering tastes or flights at this time but have 8oz pours of all beers available.
  • We will have specific beers available in pitchers.
  • We will not have paper menus but will utilize tap boards and posters with QR codes for guests to view the menu while waiting in line.
  • Employees are required to complete a daily health screening survey.
