The Garden of Earthly Delights (2023)
Outside yourself. Until you can grasp a place of great awakening. Our annual celebration of the great vastness of Earth’s natural treasures. This well-aged golden sour ale encapsulates our entire journey of brewing, beginning as a clean blonde ale fermented with house-mixed culture and aged in oak barrels for over a year. For this year, our head blender Rachael Morris selected a melange of past years’ flavors and this year’s programming. Raspberries found their way into the barrelhouse this year, and it just felt perfect blending them with the rhubarb and chamomile aromatics that carried last year’s Garden to our hearts. Focusing on a balanced acidity was the goal this year, allowing the fruit to serve a coordinated role with our house cultures. Take in wafts of rosewater, raspberry leaf tea, warm red berry turnover, and vanilla citrus soda.
