Golden Sour Ale with Wild Apples, Lemon Zest and Ginger Root
The crevices of earthen ground are rich with deception. Upon these spaces, we tread so lightly, reminded that we may fall victim to their wrath. But the allure of impending doom shall light the way for many to follow. Our newest foray into well-aged sour ale began as an foudre-aged lager, before heading to barrels for advanced maturation. A hybrid sour ale and cider, we mix the fermentations of both beverages while accenting with fresh Meyer lemon zest, local ginger root and a touch of house spices. The beverage is a full cocktail of complexity, accented by notes of dry Reisling, ginger-spiced apple handpie, and lemon breads.
