Barrel-Aged Sour Ale with Blackberries, Marionberries, Vanilla Bean, and Lemon Zest
This is a space where perceptions grow from endless seeds. Where time stands idly still and awaits requisite rumination. A zone of total consciousness, within which the allure of creation rules the day. This sour ale was born from waste, the leftovers of our yesterday. This blend of golden sour ales was hand-picked from select wine barrels in our collection. Inspired by our second life mentality, we then aged it upon the spent Blackberries and Marionberries from Fall of the Damned, Madagascar and Tahitian Vanilla beans from an Imperial Stout and some fresh Meyer lemon zest to round it out. The result is one of our most robust sour ales, reeking of fresh lemon curd, spread over freshly-baked blackberry cobbler and finished with a nice Cahors Malbec.
